Secar, molhar, enterrar

A obra consiste em três blocos maciços de glicerina colorida moldada, disposta sobre um suporte plano de madeira diretamente no chão. Após a moldagem, cada bloco foi submetido a uma condição distinta: o primeiro permaneceu em uma sala seca; o segundo foi exposto às intempéries; o terceiro, e enterrado no solo. O resultado das ações de secar, de molhar e de enterrar reenvia os materiais transitórios a procedimentos escultóricos, fazendo do desgaste e da transformação parte constitutiva de sua linguagem.

The work consists of three solid blocks of molded colored glycerin, placed directly on the floor on a flat wooden support. After molding, each block was subjected to a different condition: the first remained in a dry room; the second was exposed to the elements; the third was buried in the ground. The result of drying, wetting, and burying redirects the transient materials to sculptural procedures, turning wear and transformation into a constitutive part of its language.
