Travessão

Travessão é constituída de uma barra longilínea de madeira fixada perpendicularmente à parede e apoiada por suporte cilíndrico também de madeira. Aplicadas em adesivo vinílico, as palavras palavra e fala podem ser lidas, respectivamente, dentro do vão presente na estrutura horizontal e na superfície vertical de seu suporte, constituindo-se como um dispositivo linguístico entre um travessão que carreia a palavra cuja fala lhe dá suporte. Foi apresentada durante a exposição individual Índice remissivo – segunda edição: Fercho Marquéz-Elul (2023) e curada por Taís Cardoso e Daniel Galera.

Travessão [Dash] consists of a long, slender wooden bar affixed perpendicularly to the wall and supported by a cylindrical support, also made of wood. Applied to vinyl adhesive, the words palavra [word] and fala [speech] can be respectively read in the gap on the horizontal structure and on the vertical surface of the support, becoming a linguistic device between a dash that carries the word whose speech supports it. The work was presented during the solo exhibition Índice remissivo – segunda edição: Fercho Marquéz-Elul [Word index – second edition: Fercho Márquez-Elul] (2023), curated by Taís Cardoso and Daniel Galera.
