Resumo
Este artigo analisa o Livro de notas pretas, publicação do artista gaúcho Wagner Mello articulando a partir da tema do fragmento, da negritude e da memória. De modo ensaístico e especulativo, tem a intenção de refletir sobre o inventário afetivo proposto pelo artista em que articula retratos fotográficos, escrita fragmentária e estratégia editorial. Busca-se destacar, a partir de uma responsabilidade política perante as imagens, as estratégias de resgate ancestral, ao disputar na representação racial cotidiana a retomada da memória.

Livro de notas pretas by Wagner Mello: publication, fragment, and the blackness of the image
Abstract
This article analyzes Livro de notas pretas [Book of Black Notes], published by the artist Wagner Mello (from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). It addresses the themes of fragmentation, blackness, and memory. It aims to essayistically and speculatively reflect on the affective inventory proposed by the artist, which combines photographic portraits, fragmentary writing, and editorial strategies. It seeks to highlight, based on a political responsibility towards images, the strategies of ancestral recovery, by contesting the reclaiming of memory in everyday racial representation.
